One Spoon of Chocolate (2026)
In the 1970's there was a genre of film created called Blaxploitation. Those films dealt with people of color fighting against the establishment or "The Man". I've liked those films simply for the action and it's hip cool music. The dialogue in those films was comical at best. But those were the times. Now, it's been a hot minute since I've seen a Blaxploitation movie and believe it or not, I've seen my fair share of those back in my 20's. One Spoon of Chocolate is a tribute to the genre. You have it all, the hip dialogue, the music, and some cool action. The script while it's been done before numerous times is fair. Acting is okay for the most part. Pacing may be a little slow, but in terms of action, it's a pass.
Overall, One Spoon of Chocolate is a fun flick, but it doesn't hold a candle to the 70's era of Blaxploitation cinema.
