Five Nights at Freddy's (2023)
You would think that by looking at this poster for Five Nights at Freddy's that it's just another typical slasher. You would think wrong. There are two other films that are carbon copies of Five Nights at Freddy's, (Willy's Wonderland & The Banana Splits Movie) which are R-rated versions of this movie. I consider Five Nights at Freddy's more of a starting point for kids who are interested in the horror genre. The movie itself has almost no blood, the kills are off screen and there isn't a lot of swearing, if not at all. Five Nights at Freddy's is based on the video game series. I essentially had never heard of it until the same time the movie was coming out. I played the game briefly and found that it wasn't for me, yet my wife enjoyed it. The script is pretty decent as I said, more kid friendly. Pacing, pretty good and acting is what you'd expect for this type of film. I've been a horror fan my whole life so for those who getting into horror, this is a good start, if not, may I recommend Friday the 13th?
