The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian (2008)


 The second installment in Disney's live-action franchise of The Chronicles Of Narnia is a decent, but not great sequel. One thing I will say about The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian is that it ups the action factor from the previous film which to me is entertaining as I like my action and everyone in the cast does a great job with the script they were given, but that doesn't mean the film isn't good. In terms of script, I think it needed a little more work as at times I felt the pacing was off. I think it didn't help with the fact that back in 2008, Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian was up against the first Iron Man movie & Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull which resulted in a disappointing box office for Narnia. Perhaps, they should have released it in July or August instead of May as that's when the hyped up films come to shine and films like this are pushed off to the side.

All in all, a decent sequel, but it definitely needed improvement in it's story.

When one thinks of a title like Demon City. You're thinking to yourself, a Japanese horror flick?? No, it's an action flick. I was a little misled by the title, thinking it was a horror film because the dialogue in the film keeps referencing the word "demons" but as I continued to watch Demon City, I realized that it was a straight up action flick. I would say it's more of a Japanese knock-off of the John Wick franchise but more violent. The story has been done many times before. I guess people are used to cookie cutter plots. Clown in a Cornfield (2025)

Every once in awhile, there's always a killer clown film that ends up being good, It, Clown... There's a few more but they escape me at the moment. Unfortunately, Clown in a Cornfield isn't a good film. Despite some cool kills and a interesting premise, there are two things that stood out to me when watching the film. The pacing was sluggish which tuned me out at times which is a shame because I really wanted to like Clown in a Cornfield. The script needed work which results in it's clunky pacing and if there's one thing I despise it's social media influencers. Every horror film I've seen has characters that are addicted to social media and all I want to say is a get a job. I can't stand them at all. But I'm trailing off here. Apparently, this is based on a book series and they are coming out with book 4. If they really want to do another film, I suggest writing a strong script to maintain the pacing or *shudder, a soft reboot of the film. I can'...

Alien Rubicon (2024)

Alien Rubicon has no affiliation with the Alien film series. It was made by one of my favorite studios, The Asylum who specialize in making knock-off movies of big budget Hollywood films. Most of the time they're better than the Hollywood film they're making fun of and Alien Rubicon is no exception. With it's bad CGI effects, bad acting, Alien Rubicon is a fun bad movie that tries to not be serious but you can't help but laugh at how bad it is. I grew up watching movies like these to laugh at and make fun of and now as I get older, I begin to appreciate bad movies more. 1/5
