As far as I can remember, I've been a action movie fan for years. I've seen my fair share of good & bad whether it's from Hollyweird or the direct to video market. The difference in my opinion on action flicks that are from Hollywood or direct to video is with Hollywood, they set up all the cliches to dumb it's audience down where direct to video, they don't hit you over the head with it's politics. In the case of Black Thunder, it wasn't very good at all. It took a little too long to get to the point and there wasn't a lot of action in the beginning. That's a huge red flag for me as yes, I like the action, but would like a little more story if that makes sense. I think Michael Dudikoff is good at what he does. It's just the scripts given to him in the 90's weren't up to par.
Overall, Black Thunder just crashes on impact.
