Scream 3 (2000)
If you remember the events of the Columbine high school massacre back in 1999, it was mainly the reason as to why Scream 3's script was watered down to what we got today. The government tried to pressure Hollywood into not making violent movies as they believe they are the cause for people committing these atrocities. I'm of the opinion that is not the case. There are people who suffer from mental health issues who truly need help and to blame it on violent movies is just an excuse. I've seen many over the years and I'm no violent person nor would I ever hurt anybody. I don't mean to trail off but going back to Scream 3. Would it's original script have been a better movie had it been filmed? Probably not. I truly believe that it would not have had a good conclusion and we would have seen a 4th movie soon after. I think that Scream 3 is or was a decent conclusion to the series and it should have ended here. The new script is alright. It's funny in parts, but alright. Acting is decent for the most part and pacing still strong as ever. Overall, Scream 3 should have been the last film because how many times does our main character need to be stalked by a killer in a costume? 7 times is too much right?
