In The Mouth of Madness (1994)

John Carpenter has made some pretty good movies throughout his career. Escape From New York, Prince of Darkness, Halloween. They're classics in my opinion. It's no secret that in the 1990's, he was in a slump and made some pretty crappy movies. I'm looking at you, Memoirs of an Invisible Man. But he did make Vampires which is without question one of his best next to In The Mouth of Madness. Everything about this movie from it's script, acting, & pacing is very very good. It's not the most original movie I've ever seen, but it's a ton of fun. As I mentioned in my previous commentary of Pig Hill, this is how you make a horror movie. You don't always have to rely on blood & gore, but a good story. I'm going to end this commentary by saying, "Live any good books lately?"

I'm Jeff Roman.
